Water: get some!
Stop guzzling that coffee! Are you waking up groggy, disoriented, exhausted beyond belief, dizzy, unable to focus? Reach for WATER instead, because it’s more than likely what you’re experiencing isn’t the normal waking up groggy and is probably low levels of dehydration instead. Keep some water by your bed and reach for it if you wake up in the middle of the night and first thing when you get up.
All coffee will do is dehydrate you further and give you an addiction to caffeine. First of all, I can’t comprehend for the life of me why it’s okay to be addicted to coffee to the point where you’ll get headaches and feel icky if you stop, but if you’re addicted to smoking, gambling, or drinking that’s BAD. Caffeine addictions shouldn’t be viewed as a badge of honor.
This goes for soda as well. Do you honestly need all of that sugar, high fructose corn syrup, or aspartame in your system? No, you do not. And in fact, it’s the unhealthiest of the drinks you can possibly put into your body.
Stop chugging the empty calories, chemicals that turn into formaldehyde (yuck!), and other toxic sewage and just grab some good ol’ fashioned H2O. Your metabolism will go up, you’ll prevent yourself from drinking empty calories, AND you’ll feel better as a result. Water gets taking used to drinking with meals if your taste buds are too used to slurping down sugary crap, but it’s worth it. You can also add lemon juice and other natural flavorings to the water if need be in order to adjust.
