That’s right, I dug even deeper and am now a Certified INSANITY coach!
Well, you all knew I was crazy.
What does this mean? It means I can be an even better, more qualified, and more knowledgeable coach to those of you who want to try the Insanity program, are doing the Insanity program, have done the Insanity program but didn’t get to far with it but want to…etc.
Insanity is a very intense cardio workout involving what is called max interval training. If you’ve heard of the benefits of HIIT or High Intensity Interval Training, this is a very similar concept. People either love Insanity, or hate it. Some would say both. If you want to compete with yourself, have a measurable way of determining your progress weekly, and enjoy a good challenge, Insanity is definitely for you! If you’re already doing a cardio program at least 4-5 times per week, run, or are otherwise relatively active right now, you could conceivably do the Insanity workout and be conditioned enough to give it a go.

I’ve been creating and working with a hybrid schedule of P90X2 and Insanity with some doses of Brazil Butt Lift and running thrown in for good measure. I’m in training for a 5K at the end of the month then have a 10K in September, so every bit helps!
Here’s a sample of what I’m doing for the next few weeks:
Monday: X2 Balance & Power
Tuesday: Either Plyometric Cardio Circuit or Pure Cardio from Insanity (alternating weeks)
Wednesday: Brazil Butt Lift’s High and Tight, and Insanity’s Cardio Abs
Thursday: X2 Recovery & Mobility
Friday: X2 Plyocide
Saturday: X2 Yoga
Sunday: Insanity’s Cardio Recovery and Max Recovery
Plus…I’ll be tacking on running when I can.
