Day 3 – Shakeology cleanse

Well, here’s day three:

Breakfast: tropical strawberry Shakeology with 1 cup frozen mixed berries and a frozen banana with water

Snack: 1 grapefruit, green tea

Lunch: tropical strawberry Shakeology with 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk

Snack: 1 grapefruit, green tea

Snack: tropical strawberry Shakeology with 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk

Dinner: 2 tomatoes, 6 celery sticks, 3 carrots, 4 cloves garlic, basil and oregano juiced with cayenne pepper and tabasco sauce.

SHAKEOLOGY CLEANSE COMPLETE!

Some interesting side effects of the cleanse: I was NOT expecting a lot in a short period of time. I did notice an increase of energy, uplifting of mood, my head was clearer than it normally was in the mornings…good stuff.

More results, like…weight loss? Well, here’s the caveat: I don’t typically weigh myself. I take measurements instead as I think measurements are a better indicator of progress than the scale, especially since I’m only about 5-10 equivalent pounds away from my goal size and since I’m building muscle the scale won’t be an accurate indicator of my results. I am already smaller than I was the last time I was at this weight because of that muscle! Also, I could potentially be losing water weight–which is useless to measure! Our bodies LOVE holding onto water! No joke!

Anyhow, drum roll…in three days, I lost almost an inch from my waist and another half an inch in my hips. Sound good to you, ladies? I also kept going with my Chalean Extreme program and had workouts on two of the three days, which I don’t recommend if you’ve been sedentary and want to try the cleanse. In any rate, I will happily slip into my skinny jeans this Friday for work. 🙂

Recommended? Hell yes. Three days, didn’t feel like I was starving–in fact, I feel GOOD. I’ve been able to workout and everything!
